Car bombs in Mexico

The use of a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (IED) shows a new level of sophistication on behalf of the narcos. The July 15 attack used a cell-phone detonated bomb. The controlled device was detonated as the back up and medical reams responded to a down police officer in Ciudad Juarez.
